Solenoid valve application analysis

Solenoid Valve Applications

Solenoid valves play an important role in many control systems. Typical applications include pneumatic automation, hydraulic equipment, water treatment, fuel systems, refrigeration, medical devices and vehicle braking or suspension systems.

Industrial automation

In automated equipment, a solenoid valve provides fast electrical control of air, water, oil or process fluids. It can start and stop a circuit, change flow direction or support proportional control.

Automotive systems

Vehicles use solenoid valves in fuel delivery, transmission control, ABS/ESC, emissions systems and air suspension. The housing and internal components must tolerate vibration, temperature change and corrosive media.

Solenoid valve selection and use

Selection should consider the medium, port size, operating pressure, temperature, flow coefficient, voltage, duty cycle, response time and required protection class. Material compatibility and the default open or closed state must also be confirmed.

Installation and maintenance

Keep the pipeline clean, observe the marked flow direction and avoid mechanical stress at the valve body. Regular inspection of seals, coils and moving parts helps prevent leakage, sticking and overheating.
