Qingdao Beer Museum is the unique beer museum build by Tsingtao Beer Brewery. Invested by 28,000 yuan, this museum covers an area more than 6,000 square meters. Built in 1903, it combines historical treasures with modern design.
 

At the Tsingtao Beer Museum, you can know about the historical development of Tsingtao Beer, profound cultural heritage and advanced technological process of Qingdao Beer.

In the century-old historical and cultural area, visitors can learn about the century-old history and development of Tsingtao Beer through detailed graphic materials and holographic images.

The production process area shows the whole set of brewing process equipment and modern production line scenes a hundred years ago. Here, you can visit the modern filtration and packaging production line in person and feel the spectacular modern production line.

Electrical Machinery in the Qingdao Beer Museum can operate normally. Imported from Germany, it was officially put into use in Tsingtao Beer in 1903, and it continued to operate stably in Tsingtao Beer for nearly a century, and it was not used until 1995. In the early 20th century, Tsingtao Beer was built by Germans, and the drawings were used and have been kept in the archives of Tsingtao Beer ever since. It consists of two paper drawings, the content is handwritten German, including the conceptual sketch of the architectural design of Tsingtao Beer, the profile of each key part, and specific architectural data.
 

The Saccharification Equipment

From 1903 to 1995, the saccharification equipment has been used for more than 90 years. As saccharification equipment, the four copper pots is the first step of beer brewing. The gelation pot is used to gelatinize rice and other . The saccharification pot is responsible for mixing malt with water to decompose starch into sugar to form saccharified mash. The filter tank separates wort from spent grains to obtain clarified wort. The boiling pot is used to boil wort, coagulate protein, adjust concentration and blend into hops flavor.

Beer Fermentation Barrel

Beer fermentation barrel is the early beer fermentation storage equipment in Tsingtao Beer. It was handmade by German craftsmen in 1903 and put into use. It stopped using in 1995 and has been placed in the early building of Tsingtao Beer. It is used to provide a closed environment for beer fermentation, so that yeast can decompose sugar to produce alcohol and carbon dioxide, ensure the smooth fermentation process and form the unique flavor and quality of beer.

It is the first and only beer museum in China, and the first of its kind in the world. It has three main areas: the history of a century and culture area, production technology area, and multi-function area.
 
The first floor of the multi-purpose area is the area of tasting beer and the shopping center, which can hold one hundred visitors. The tourists can taste various and different fresh Tsingtao beers as much as they like, and buy some souvenirs.
 
There are amusement establishments on the second floor. The modern design thought and the high technical measure, the organic combination of knowledge and amusement all can make the tourists place themselves into the holiday joyance. It is reported that the tourists can buy tickets to visit, taste the beers for free relying on the tickets, draw the souvenirs and visit the indicator map after Tsingtao Beer Museum was established. At the same time, the tourists can look up the literature data they are interested in at any moment by touching auto-electronic screens, which are placed anywhere.
 
It takes one hour to tour the museum. In 2004, the museum was listed as the first industrial tourism demonstration unit. In 2005, it was designated as a national AAAA tourist spot. In 2006, it was listed as a national key cultural site under national protection. In 2007, it became one of the first famous tourist sites in Qingdao.
