Liulichang Street
Liulichang Street is one of the most famous cultural streets for its ancient books, paintings, rubbings, calligraphy, ink stones and ink throughout China and even in the world. It is only about 800 meters long. It was originally formed in Qing Dynasty.
It is a popular destination for tourists who want to experience the commercial aspect of popular Chinese folk artwork in Beijing without the bustling traffic.

• Opening Hours: 8:30 am - 6:30 pm from Monday to Friday; 4:30 am - 6:30 pm Saturday and Sunday
• How to get there: Take Metro Line 10 and get off at Panjiayuan Station (Exit B), then walk to the north gate; take Bus 28, 99, 368 or 638 and get off at Panjiayuanqiao Station.
Panjiayuan Antique Market
Panjiayuan Antique Market is regarded as the largest flea market in China. It is located in the southeast of Beijing Third Road and covers a total area of more than forty-eight thousand five hundred square meters. There is a very wide range of business here. The major antique items here include jewelery, antique furniture, Chinese "Four Treasures of the Study" (writing brush, ink stick, paper and ink slab), ancient paintings, old books and daily necessities. Here is a wonderful place to appreciate and purchase antiques, crafts, collectibles, and decorations. There are thousands of people coming to this place every day. For foreigners who come to Beijing for the first time, there are three must dos: visiting the Great Wall, taste Beijing Roasted Duck and stroll around Panjiayuan Antique Market. This market is a paradise for those whose are fond of collecting antiques.
It used to be a weekend-only market. However, after some refurbishment work, it is now open for business seven days a week. But Saturdays and Sundays are still the best days to go.

Hongqiao Market
Hongqiao Market enjoy the most convenient transport. It is located near downtown Beijing and just near to Temple of Heaven. For Liulichang Street and Tianya Antique City, it is better to go on weekdays to avoid crowds and have more time to communicate with sellers.
- Precautions: Do not trust vendors selling goods along the street outside the antique market, as most of them sell fake or shoddy products. When buying antiques, ask for a purchase invoice to protect your legitimate rights and interests. For high-value collections, it is recommended to choose formal auction houses such as Poly and Guardian, although the threshold is relatively high.
