Wunvzhou Resort, located in Wuyuan County, Shangrao, Jiangxi Province, is a large-scale cultural and leisure destination themed around the ancient legend of “The Flying Maiden of Wuyuan.” Designed in the traditional Hui-style architecture, the resort features elegant white walls and black-tiled roofs scattered along a meandering waterway. Wunvzhou Resort is a comprehensive tourism complex centered on the “Flying Maiden” legend. It integrates sightseeing, leisure vacations, family entertainment, and conference facilities. The resort is structured around three themed islands – Music Island, Wuxian Island, and Fangyan Island – forming a scenic corridor. It features two performance lakes, Wunv Lake and Wuxian Caishen Lake, along with nine major areas including the Four Seasons Water Park, Hui Style Street, and the Tea Sage Leisure Vacation Zone. The name “Wenchang” originates from the Wenchang Star, regarded as the guardian of scholars. In ancient times, Huizhou merchants valued both trade and literature, following the belief: “Without scholarship, one cannot bring honor to the family; without thrift, one cannot sustain prosperity.” Many successful merchants-built academies and schools upon returning home to promote education.
The Wenchang Bookhouse showcases this scholarly tradition through its lofty, open interior filled with creative book displays. The design blends classical elegance with modern aesthetics, making it a photogenic and inspiring cultural spot for visitors.

Visitors from other cities can take a high-speed train to Wuyuan Station, then a 10-minute taxi ride to reach Wunvzhou Resort. The area connects conveniently with nearby attractions such as Huangling Village, Wangxiangu Valley, Mount Sanqing, and Gexian Village.
From Huangshan North Station, the high-speed train to Wuyuan takes 21 minutes. From Wuyuan Station, it's a 50-minute taxi ride to Huangling Scenic Area and a 10-minute ride to Wunvzhou Resort. Direct buses from Wuyuan High-Speed Rail Station to Huangling run from 7:00 to 17:30, departing every 20 minutes.
