The Ring Mall (光环购物公园, Guānghuán Shopping Park) is located in the core business area of Liangjiang New Area, Yubei District, Chongqing. It sits right next to Zhaomushan Park and is directly connected to Chongguang Station on Chongqing Metro Line 5, so getting there by subway is quick and easy.
The project was architecturally designed by PHA (UK), with landscape design handled by ASPECT Studios from Australia. The entire complex covers about 420,000 square meters, including 170,000 square meters of retail space. The shopping mall has seven levels in total, with six floors above ground and one underground level.
One of the most striking features is the 42-meter-high vertical green space that runs through all seven floors. Trees, plants, walkways, and open terraces are built directly into the structure, creating a clear link between nature, shopping, and everyday urban life. Rather than a standard enclosed mall, The Ring works more like a shopping park, where commercial spaces, public areas, and greenery are designed to flow together naturally.

Chongqing Garden Expo Park (园博园)
Chongqing Garden Expo Park is one of the city’s largest green spaces, showcasing traditional gardens from different regions of China. It’s spacious, scenic, and much quieter than downtown attractions.
These places are not core highlights for most first-time visitors to Chongqing.
